A very simple yet cosy outfit to work from home on Thursday. I had to monitor Cooper as he recovered from his surgery on Wednesday, he was still a bit drugged up! 10 days of bed rest have been prescribed and he's not allowed to go for walks or play any strenuous games. This quick photo in the back yard as I took him out for some fresh air was all I could manage, as he wasn't happy being picked up and needed to be supervised constantly.

Cooper slept a lot, so I did manage to complete all of my work, and also list a few items on ebay. Feel free to checkout my auctions :)

Back in the office for casual Friday and a couple of meetings, and my turn to have a break from Cooper-watching. He is much more like himself today though, it is good to see.  He will be missing from the blog for a while as he recovers.

Decided on a bright cheerful outfit as it was a slightly overcast morning. Although you can't tell in the photos as it's a bit too overexposed to compensate, sorry! The yellow in the scarf matches the yellow in the shirt quite nicely I thought. It's not yellow and pink leopard print, which Sam rocks and I plan to try one day, but it was nice.


Last worn: Sunnies, cobalt leather jacket, Alexander McQueen scarf, Sass and Bide jeans, Wittner heels, Chloe Marcie. First time I've worn the tee as it's a recent purchase.

I purchased this jumper a while back, with the Warehouse gift voucher I won. I knew it would soon be cool enough to wear it, so glad I got a chance to this weekend. Still wearing thongs though, because after a week of heels my feet needed a break!


Last worn: purple skinny jeans, shoes, Mulberry Alexa. First time I've worn the top as it has only just gotten cool enough to wear it!

Got this skirt back from the tailor this weekend. I only wore it twice last year as the length was a little odd on me. I got it taken up so I'm more comfortable in it and will wear it more often. It's got such a lovely colourful print on it, tried to bring out the purple a little with this top. In hindsight, probably should have picked a more contrasting background to stand against for the photo though, haha!


Last worn: skirt, heels, Chloe Marcie bag. First time I've worn the top on the blog although I've had it years now. Good basic piece.

Tried this outfit together the night before and quite liked it - but really felt uncomfortable in it when I wore it, it just didn't seem to sit right. Won't pair these two pieces together again, I think the oversized top and the peplum were too much together. What do you think?

Thought about wearing my oak Mulberry Baywsater with this but thought it added up to a bit too much tan, so swapped it out for my Fran bag instead. This dress has been sitting in my wardrobe for almost a year unworn as I keep thinking there will be a better event to wear it to. So I decided just to wear it today to work, as it is one of my favourites that hardly gets worn.

Wore a pretty summer dress to beat the heat today. I don't wear this dress often (this is it's first appearance on the blog) but it's so perfect for hot days I keep it around. The only downside to it is that it's so light and airy it gets caught in the wind a lot. Trying to get a photo this morning when it was really blustery was hilarious. Luckily this one turned out okay! I'll put a couple of others up in the facebook out-takes album for you to giggle at :)


The sunnies were last worn here, and bag here. This is the first time I've worn the sandals as they are a new purchase, and the first time I've worn this dress on the blog although it's a few years old.

When I was figuring out what to wear last night, I was really aware that this is another jeans and tee outfit. I had grand plans of making up all kinds of lovely casual outfits for work that didn't involve denim, but that hasn't really happened. I've gone back to my comfort zone most days. I think I need to try harder to come up with different outfits and take advantage of the range of options "casual dress" has, rather than wearing jeans every day.

Went back to work today. Just picked a nice comfortable outfit for casual Friday, jeans and a simple shirt. Feeling much better, although not 100%. Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend so I can fully recover.

Was a bit bright taking photos today! Next time I must remember to wear my sunnies!

My order from last week's $10 Cotton On sale arrived at lunch time today.

It caused a bit of a fuss in the office with people wanting to see what I'd got and a few ladies even went to Cotton On at lunch time to make some sale purchases! They bought some great pieces, and the closest store to the office is really tiny so I think if you went to a store you'd find a lot of great items still on sale. Can't wait to wear my metallic lace skirt, maybe when the weather warms up a little.

Not a bad way to start October and "buy nothing new" month, with a bunch of new clothes to stop me feeling the urge to buy more :)

Maybe shouldn't have worn a short jumper and a short jacket together, I don't really like the way it looks in the photos. We had a nice relaxing Saturday today. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you would have seen my updates about the Church Online Big Show this morning. It's a yearly event that Life Church organise for all of the volunteers so we can all get together no matter where we are in the world, as it's streamed online too! It was a lot of fun.

It was lovely and warm in the afternoon but cooler in the evening so I decided to add a jacket for having dinner at a friend's house. I swapped the sandals for heels too, so the outfit looked a little more polished. Still wanted to wear my new bag though, instead of taking a little clutch. What do you think?
